Product Overview
Moissanite - the common name for 6H crystalline silicon carbide.
It is a wonder material with astonishing thermal, chemical, and mechanical properties. For our purposes, it brings us into an entirely different level of flavor, comparable only to a small handful of other materials.
You may have seen our color changing crystal inlay demonstrations - that's this. It's not a magic trick or any esoteric material property; it just glows at lower temperatures.
Heat retention is on par with most SiC (about halfway between quartz and sapphire), but will run slightly hotter in most conditions as nails cool.

Thermal shock and maximum temperature considerations are well past operating conditions.
Effectively immune to wear.
